Post Harvest Handling of Custard Apple in Panchmahal District

Custard apple fruits are highly perishable in nature. It is very difficult to store fruits for prolonged period. A project was under taken to obtain comprehensive information on the post harvest handling of custard apple fruits in the Panchmahal district. The interview schedules were prepared and the data were collected. Most reliable person from each orchard was selected for personal interview. A Panchmahal district was selected for field survey. Moreover, one wholesale market and retail market were also surveyed.
