Poverty and food dynamics in Arid and Semi Arid Lands in Kenya

This book brings into focus the challenges of food andpoverty in arid and semi arid lands in Kenya. Theseare areas which have perpetually been hithard by drought and famine. These natural calamities lead to loss of livestock and crop failures.The hard life in the arid and semi-arid areas has necessitated innovative strategies of survival to counter the repeated cycles of unreliable rains in order toacquire daily livelihoods by households in these areas.

I was born in Ngakaani Vilage, Kitui County & schooled in MamolePrimary, St. Charles Lwanga School, and Moi University where idid my undergraduate degree & Masters Degree in Developmentstudies. Currently i am a Nokia Field force Rep in Kenya. Havebeen also a part time lecturer in various universities in kenya for aperiod close to two years.
