Practical English Lessons

In this book, you find a very good method of learning how to read English words or how to drill someone else. It is simple and based on the original work of Dr. Hegge and others. Though it is simple to use, it is necessary to have an instructor or a guide close by because the book is more or less a remedial work than a normal text for regular students. The guide is to assist them with the phonics of the individual letters within a word; then syllabication and so on so as to make it easier for the students to catch up.

The author, Sadiq Mohammed Waziri, had taught English language at the National Model Adult and Non-Formal Education Institute, Shahuci, Kano. He had also taught English language at secondary schools. He is now a Post Graduate student of Computer Science (specializing in Software Engineering) at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Nigeria.
