Practical Geometry
Details
Practical Geometry is a guide for applied geometry. The book is an instrument for students of technical colleges and universities, technicians, engineers. The difficulty of the problems increases gradually, in order to offer the reader the possibility to easily follow the solutions. The proposed solutions are exclusively graphical ones, and they are explained step by step. The book begins with the plotting of lines (straight and curve), angles, polygons and also proposes some graphical methods to find the size of several geometric elements. It continues with the plotting of polyhedra (prisms and pyramids) and polyhedra cut by different planes. The next chapter presents the plotting of revolution solids (cylinders, cones, sphere, toroid) and revolution solids cut by planes. The last chapter is dedicated to intersections of solids (cylinders, cones and other solids). The solids and the intersections of solids are projected on different projection planes and also plotted developed. The problems presented on the book are cases currently met in practical technique.
