Practical Manual on Insect Pests of Okra

Okra crop under ecological conditions of India is severely infested by sucking pests like leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida), whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch and shoot and fruit borers, Earias vittella (Fabricius) and Earias insulana. This practical manual contains information on the major insect pests damaging okra. The identification and management of each species is discussed in this book. The detailed photographs showing damage symptoms allow for rapid identification of insect pest problems. For each pest, integrated pest management practices is also described in this book. Mr. Santoshkumar C. Kedar is presently pursuing his PhD studies in Entomology at CCSHAU, Haryana,India. He has been merit fellowship holder at his B.Sc. and M.Sc. programme. He has passed ICAR-JRF,ICAR-SRF and ICAR-NET. He has published seven research papers in national and international journals of scientific repute.
