His findings are augmented by qualitative research he conducted with various focus groups (representing diverse, local congregations) across the United States. Rev. Dr. John Tamilio III is the Pastor of the United Church of Christ in Canton (Massachusetts) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Salem State University, his undergraduate alma mater. He holds an M.A. in English from Northeastern University, an M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School, and a Ph.D. from Boston University.
