Preparation of polymeric nanoparticles by polymerization technique

Preparation of polymeric nanoparticles by polymerization technique includes various approaches to prepare nanoparticles and their evaluation methods. Significance of polymerization technique, review of literature on this particular technique was explained in detail. Mucoadhesive polymers such as carbapol and chitosan were selected for the study. Ammonium per sulphate was chosen as an initiator.The effect of initiator concentration upon the particle size, entrapment efficiency, stability and drug release profile was studied in detail.

The author is working as Associate Professor in RBVRR Women's college of pharmacy, Osmania University.
