Presidential Amnesty in Nigeria

The book will be about the implementation of the presidential amnesty programme in Nigeria as introduced by our late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua in 2009.What is the underline reason for the amnesty programme? Is it really about the development of the Niger Delta region, particularly Delta state or is about persuading the ever ready agitators off the oil installations in order to pave way for oil explorations which will in turn boost the revenue of the federal government of Nigeria.
