Presque Isle Air Force Base is a former United States Air Force base, located in the city of Presque Isle, Maine.Presque Isle Air Force Base was originally built in 1930 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as Presque Isle Airport, a commercial airport located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of the "business center." The field was said to consist of a 250-acre (1.0 km2) L-shaped grass field, measuring 4,775'' × 2,914'', with two grass runways measuring 1,700'' east/west by 1,000'' north/south. The field was also said to have a 100'' × 80'' hangar, and the commercial operator was Northern Maine Airways.
