Details

Self-medication has been increasing among youths worldwide, promoted both by ease of access and by the false perception that they are completely safe. Despite free access to health-care institutions in Iraq, self-medication is highly prevalent among college students from Baghdad universities. Self-Medication can be harmful, especially if obtained from other sources (not from the pharmacy). Wide variety of reasons urged the students for self-medication, but it caused many side effects among them. Some side effects led to hospitalization.
