Price Cap Regulation Of Firms With Market Power

This book analyses some theoretical properties of price cap, focusing on the implications of this form of regulation on i) equity and ii) competition. These issues have had a very large relevance in the decisions undertaken by the regulatory authorities especially during the two last decades and a great attention has been devoted to them by the economic literature. The author has contributed to the debate on this topics with several articles and most of the findings presented in the book came from his earlier researches in this area.

Edilio Valentini is Associate Professor at the University of Chieti-Pescara and holds a MSc in Economics (U. of York) and a Doctorate in Economics and Institutions (U. "Tor Vergata" of Rome).
