Primary Education
Details
In traditional African societies where formal school learning institutions are not available, children acquire informal education through domestic schools, which are neither an established institution of learning but an institution created by the children themselves. In this process, the children either learn on their own or involve their peers, parents and the adult members of their community. Hence children have created a space of their own in their own community. It is therefore important to explore this field that relates to children who have a world of their own creation and link them to modern learning schooling systems. This type of education keeps the children in touch with their families and the members of the community. Writing for children will make them amused, entertained, educated and understands the notion and knowledge inherent in those writing. Children are very sensitive, honest and innocent. The child's willingness to learn depends very largely on the interest generated by what is taught to them. They have short attention span, and only by capturing the child's attention can any message be effectively put across. The pictures alone intrigue a child a lot.
