Privacy and Identity Management for Life

This book presents new results by leading international researchers on privacy and identity management for life, and offers guidelines for privacy-enhancing tehnology design, for the benefit of system developers in many disciplines.

At the end of the PrimeLife EU project, a book will contain the main research results. It will address primarily researchers. In addition to fundamental research it will contain description of best practice solutions.

Presents novel research results from the well-known PrimeLife on Privacy and identity Management for Life by leading international researchers. It will provide guidelines for Privacy-Enhancing Technology design (e.g., HCI guidelines), which will also be of interest for system developers. It provides a unique interdisciplinary perspective.

Dr. Kai Rannenberg (Universität Freiburg, Institut für Informatik und Gesellschaft, Abteilung Telematik, www.iig.uni-freiburg.de/ kara) hat Informatik, Wirtschafts- und Rechtswissenschaften studiert. Er koordiniert das Kolleg "Sicherheit in der Kommunikationstechnik" der gemeinnützigen Gottlieb Daimler- und Karl Benz-Stiftung. Seit 1990 arbeitet er auf dem Gebiet IT-Sicherheitszertifizierung, u. a. bei DIN und ISO an der Normung von IT-Sicherheitsevaluationskriterien.
