Private Investment Opportunities and Challenges: A Sectoral Overview

A good investment climate fosters productive investment. Many features of a good investment climate including efficient infrastructure, courts, and finance markets improve the lives of people directly, whether they work or engage in entrepreneurial activities or not. Improving the investment climate, the opportunities and incentives for firms to invest productively, create jobs, and is the key to sustainable progress in attacking poverty and improving living standards.
