He is chair of the U.K. Oracle User Group Real Application Clusters Special Interest Group (UKOUG RAC SIG) and a member of the OakTable Network. He regularly presents at conferences, seminars, and usergroup meetings in the U.K., Europe, and the U.S. He also maintains www.juliandyke.com, which specializes in Oracle diagnostics, optimization, and internals. He is an Oracle Certified Professional and holds a bachelor of science degree in computation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), U.K.
