This book presents Video Capture and Compression of Capsule Endoscopy (CE) and compares several existing compression techniques present for CE. The most significant and distinguishing feature of this book is it helps to decide in the integration of signal capture from the sensor with compression algorithms, in order to avoid excessive storage and read/write operations. The compression algorithms must be simple to minimize multiplications and additions. The text develops to clarify power consumption in different kinds of operations, which could help in deciding among different compression algorithms. Suggested algorithms comprise 2 Dimensional (2D) Differential Pulse Code Modulation (DPCM) with prediction coefficients and transform coders with simple transforms. The book should prove an important reference for both practitioners and Master students in Engineering. It is primarily intended for students who are willing to work in Radio Communication field.

Kranthi Kiran K.S received his B.Sc degree from Andhra University, Master's Degree in Physics from Andhra University. He is currently completing his Double Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering in the fields of Signal Processing and Radio Communication at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola,Sweden. His hobbies include listening music, and painting.
