Prof Zaman, former Director of Research, and former Chief Scientist (Water Management) of the same university; Prof. Zaman successfully guided 7 (seven) Ph D students towards their doctoral degree programme and more than 50 (fifty) M. Sc. (Ag) students in his career credentials; He has coordinated and associated with post-graduate teaching programme at the University and has significant research experiences in field of water management and in academia. Dr. Zaman is working with sustainable crop production with optimum irrigation water and judicious nutrients; Risk Assessment to human receptors posed by air, soil and water contamination from hazardous substances; Prevention and Mitigation of Toxic Contamination in Drinking Water Resources; Eco- toxicology; Environmental Fate Assessment; Hazard Waste Management. Prof. Zaman also assigned IFFCO Chair Professor of West Bengal.
