Produced water is the water associated with petroleum production process, The water posses constituents with harm environmental impacts . Produced water proper treatment reduces the operation cost of crude production.The book describes the types of contaminates in the water and the suitable treatment method that can be apply in crude refineries.

Dr. Afaf Ghais Abadi , Assistant professor in Chemical Engineering Department, University of Khartoum -Sudan. She finished her PhD. in Chemical Engineering On March 2008 with major field of mass transfer and separation processes. She supervised many MSc.and undergraduate students in waste utilization field and crude refining process. The recent book describe the produced water treatment method as an author share in solving the crude oil challenging problems.
