Prognostic factors for gastric cancer in Tunisia

Stomach adenocarcinoma is a serious disease, accounting for 90% of all malignant tumors of the stomach. It is the 5th most common cancer in the world, with over a million new cases each year. According to the national cancer registry (Nord-Tunisie; 2004-2006), stomach cancer ranks 6th in men and 7th in women.Our study is conducted through a retrospective series of 56 patients diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma from 2015 to 2020 in the Nabeul gastroenterology department (HTMN).The aim of our work was to study the epidemiological profile and prognostic factors of gastric cancer in our center.
