Progressive Failure Analysis of Double-notched composite laminates

A book provides an an introduction to composite materials as well as detailed description of failure theories and damage modeling techniques for the failure analysis of composite laminates. More specifically, the book presents the implementation of modeling strategies for the progressive failure analysis of double-notched composite laminates. Different composite layups with carbon/epoxy and glass/epoxy materials are experimentally and numerically investigated. This book may be useful for students or engineers who are interested in learning damage analysis of composite materials.

Dr. Pham Dinh Chi is currently a research scientist at the Institute of High Performance Computing, A*STAR Singapore and lecturer at the SIM University. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. His research interest is focused on fracture & damage analysis of composite materials and structures.
