Project Management for Engineering: use of PMBOK and concepts

The content of this book deals with Project Management for Engineering, highlighting as an example a project researched at the Amazonas State University (UEA), in the energy area of Mechanical Engineering. It is an approach and concepts applied to Mechanical Engineering using the PMBOK Guide with aspects of sustainability in the environment, serving as a contribution to be used in other areas of engineering. The PMBOK Guide is a Project Management Knowledge Guide to help project managers orient themselves on how to manage their research project, describing its life cycle, in any area of their institution. This book also presents aspects of environmental sustainability when carrying out a research project, showing concepts of green chemistry in certain projects and analysis of environmental impacts. The book presents concepts of management excellence models as methods that take a company to the level of excellence.
