In mid 1990s, many firms raced to catch up with the pace of Globalisation. Mergers and Acquisitions created new, larger entities, requiring new systems of management and planning. Firms worked towards the rationalization of their internal processes, optimisation and integration of their external processes with the clients and suppliers. This led to the implementation of systems for supply and demand management with business re-engineering, and integration of IT applications through ERP systems and IT alignment. This book will provide a guidance to industry practitioners in IT integration and ERP implementation with the most comprehensive key critical factors and business processes. It has a wide application in industry for IT integration of any type of software system. It also provides academics in management and research with a reliable text book for IT integration and management. Up to my knowledge the materials have been used at universities' lecture rooms and in process industry for implementation of SmartPlant software.

FARSHAD has been a manager, project manager, MBA lecturer and a consultant with broad management experience at functional departments, and project levels with major international and blue chip companies worldwide for 30 years. He has lived and worked in more than 15 countries in Europe, N America and Asia and executed 86 projects.
