Projovem Adolescent:

The Service for Coexistence and Strengthening of Bonds for Adolescents and Young People aged 15 to 17 (Projovem Adolescente) is part of the public social assistance policy as a component of the social protection system and constitutes part of basic social protection aimed at families, with the objective of preventing situations of risk and strengthening family and community ties. The target audience is young people between the ages of 15 and 17 from families benefiting from the Bolsa Família Programme (PBF), who live in extreme poverty and have experienced risk and social vulnerability. Projovem Adolescente aims to increase social security in terms of shelter, family and community life, and to expand adolescents' access to other public policies. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Projovem Adolescente programme implemented at CRAS - Alto de São Manoel, Mossoró-RN, from the perspective of its users, seeking to understand the impact of Projovem Adolescente on the lives of its users. An approach was also taken to social policies, more specifically to the evaluation of effectiveness.

Vilsemácia Alves Costa was born in Marcelino Vieira, Rio Grande do Norte, on 23 September 1991. She holds a degree in Social Work from the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) in Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Public Policy and Social Intervention from the Olinda Higher Education Foundation (FUNESO) / Union of Higher Education Institutions of FUNESO (UNESF).
