The book, Properties and Applications of Metals have been written for students and lecturers of tertiary institutions who are involved in the learning/teaching of Metals, their composition, properties and applications. It covers the course contents of some mechanical technology and engineering-related programmes at Diploma, certificate and undergraduate levels. The Book has made an In-depth treatment of the composition, properties and applications of Metals in the following areas: ferrous and nonferrous based Metals, precious metals, nonferrous alloys and steels. It has also made an in-depth of several metal testing processes and selection for engineering applications.

Habibu A. Sara é doutorado (Ind. Tech. Education) pela Universidade da Nigéria, Nsukka, é professor principal no Politécnico de Kaduna, professor certificado e consultor de ensino e formação profissional técnica (TVET). Por seu lado, Ibrahim I Tsiga tem um mestrado em educação (tecnologia) pela FUT Minna, na Nigéria. É também um professor certificado e um professor principal.
