Protea production

The books aims to promote the production of field flowers for local and external market. It tries to simplify and teach the production of Proteas and their classification for the benefit of new and young farmers. The production aspects of the crop are detailed in full from climatic requirements to post-harvest handling and marketing. The author hopes to increase the appreciation of flower production and its value in the society.

Chihobvu Farai Shelton is a Senior Research Officer with the Department of Research and Specialist services at Horticulture Research Institute, near Marondera, in the Government of Zimbabwe. His research thrust has been focusing increasing flower productivity, soilborne disease management and integrated pest management in agriculture.
