PROTECTING WOMEN DURING ARMED CONFLICTS

This dissertation examines the protection of women during armed conflict, focusing on the case of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from 1997 to the present day. It examines the sexual and gender-based violence suffered by women in wartime, and the measures taken to protect them. The author analyzes the factors contributing to this vulnerability, such as culture, poverty and impunity, and proposes recommendations for improving the situation. The importance of educating and empowering women is underlined, as is the need to raise community awareness and hold perpetrators accountable.

Dignité Fundji Dimandja a étudié à l'Institut Saint-Éric et au Collège Frère Emmanuel Stablum pour ses études primaires. Puis, au C. S. Cardinal Malula pour ses études secondaires et ses humanités littéraires (option Latin-Philosophie). Il est titulaire d'un diplôme de Licence en Droit obtenu à l'Université de Kinshasa depuis l'année 2021.
