Public Expenditures and Economic Growth in Nigeria

There is need to understand the sources of public expenditure growth and the quality of public expenditures, to determine whether they directly contribute to economic growth. This book is a doctoral thesis that investigates the causal relationship between aggregate public expenditure and its compositions on economic growth for the Nigeria case over the period of 1979-2008. Dr. Suleiman Aruwa obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Accounting and Finance from Ahmadu Bello Unversity, Zaria and Ph.D Accounting and Finance from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He specializes in Public budgeting and finance. He is curently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Accounting, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria.
