PUPILS' SATISFACTION WITH SCHOOL AND SCHOOL LIFE

This book discusses and compares the satisfaction of pupils in England and in Austria in reference to their own schools and school life in general. Based on teaching experience, questionnaires and interviews, this book offers ideas as to what factors contribute to creating satisfied pupils and questions to what extent the education systems in both countries support the well-being of pupils. This research reflects the careful balance needed between achieving a good academic performance in schools and a high level of satisfaction amongst pupils.

Autorentext

David grew up in Villach, Austria. After attending a Higher Technical School and completing his national service in the special forces, he began studying Psychology. A month long pilgrimage across Spain allowed him to reassess his life and he decided to become a teacher. After three years working in English schools he is now teaching in Austria.
