Pyrimidine derivatives of 1,4-benzodiazepines

This book describes the synthesis of six-membered pyrimidine ring incorporated analogues from the intermediates amidine, dimethylaminomethylene ketone, chalcone, and chloro derivatives of 1,4-benzodiazepines following the strategies depicted in schemes 4.13-4.21 respectively. The structures of all compounds have been established by their elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and MS spectral data.

Dr. Navjeet Kaur was born in Punjab, India. She received her BSc degree in Chemistry from Punjab University, Punjab, India (2008), MSc. degree in Organic Chemistry at Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India (2010) and obtained her PhD. degree in 2013 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. She is an Assistant Professor in the Science faculty.
