Along with Thual, It hosts the new economic city project , King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Qadeimah's coast faces several islands which belong to King Fahd's private properties . Saudi Arabia (officially Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) is the largest Arab country of the Middle East. It is bordered by Jordan and Iraq on the north and northeast, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on the east, Oman on the southeast, and Yemen on the south. Mecca Province is the most populous province of Saudi Arabia, located in the west of the country, with an extended coastline. It has an area of 164,000 km² and a population of 5,797,971 (2004 census). Its capital is the sacred city of Mecca, but its largest city is Jeddah, which is also Saudi Arabia's main port city. The governor of the province is Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, a son of the late King Faisal.
