High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Qiao Rui (d.197) is an officer of Yuan Shu. Qiao was commander of Yuan Shu's second army during his campaign against Lu Bu, but lost when Han Xian and Yang Feng deserted to Lu Bu's army. When Cao Cao attacked Yuan Shu, Qiao led a frontal assault force against Cao Cao's army. He fought Cao Cao's forces on the border of Shou Chun and was killed by Xiahou Dun. Historically, Qiao was made a Marshall by Yuan Shu and killed by Li Ma. Along with his comrades, Qiao deeply respected Sun Ce. Yuan Shu was a warlord during the late Eastern Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms era of China. He rose to prominence following the collapse of the Han court in 189. He was the younger cousin of Yuan Shao. After the death of He Jin, he led a force to slay the eunuchs as the Imperial Corps Commander of the Imperial Tiger Guard, which was located just outside the capital. Later, he participated in an alliance against Dong Zhuo led by Yuan Shao.
