Qichen Guo is a twelfth-generation direct-lineage disciple of Chen style tai chi chuan. He is a recipient of numerous top awards from China''s Wushu tournaments and holds a fifth-degree rank in Wushu martial arts. In 1988 he received the prestigious title of TaiChi Chuan Master from the Yong-nian International Wushu-Taichi Chuan Federation. Guo immigrated to the United States in 2001, upon which he subsequently won gold medals in two USA national championships: Orlando, Florida''s International Wushu Kung-fu Festival and San Diego, California''s USA Wushu Kung-fu Federation National Championship. Guo has practiced Taijiquan for more than 23 years, and throughout his years in China has studied under some of the most notable Grandmasters of Chen style tai chi chuan: Chen Xiao-wang, Chen Zheng-Lei, Zhang Mao-zhen, and Zhang Zhi-Jun.
