Qualitative & Quantitative Analysis (Ultra-Fast Gas Chromatography)

This book covers the Pattern recognition analysis using the qualitative as well as quantitative study. This book will be very useful for the young researchers and scientists of the field of data analysis and samples classification. Aromatic data is collected using ultra-fast gas chromatic (UFGC) instrument and then the data is analyzed using different statistical approach and the result is compared with the quantitative data as well as the GC data gives the quantitative values as well. Approaches used in this book are principal component (PCA) analysis, support vector machine (SVM) analysis, box plot method, radar plot/spider plot cluster analysis. Available substances and their quantitative data is provided here according to the UFGC system for each type of analysis used in this experiment. In addition to this, it also gives information about various data pre-processing techniques and supervised as well as unsupervised methods. The author's main idea is to provide an experimental as well as an scientific approach to the new researchers as well as to the scientific community. Santosh Kumar (DOB-10-05-1978) is working as Sr Scientist in CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, India. He Completed his B.E.(ECE) degree in 2000 and M.Tech (ED&T) in 2003. Recently he has submitted his PhD thesis. He has successfully completed five research projects in the area of instrumentation and control. He has working experience in Machine Intelligence.
