Quality Management for Social Housing: a case study

Brazil still has a high housing deficit. That's why it's so important to carry out studies aimed at solving management problems in housing projects, especially social housing. As one of the most important productive sectors in the production of durable goods, the construction industry plays a fundamental role in the rational materialization of its products, and must pay attention to methods that focus on construction management in order to reduce costs, always seeking the development of low-consumption technologies. In this way, this paper aims to present management guidelines for the production of social housing developments that characterize the reality of Goiás. To this end, a case study was taken of a Goiás development carried out by the Goiás Housing Agency (AGEHAB) called Residencial Real Conquista, where the population from the invasion of Parque Oeste Industrial was allocated. In this way, it was possible to diagnose the main demands that existed in the process, as well as to propose suggestions for improving the process.
