"Quis Custodiet Ipsas Custodies"? This thesis is an exploratory study of experiences of frontline staff working with children in a therapeutic community. The first chapter of the book explains the history of residential childcare in Ireland it then moves on to outline what therapeutic care is about. To make it easier for the reader to understand therapeutic work, the attachment theory is reflected on. The author then moves on to the field to find out from frontline staff, how this work affects them, and what is in place, or lacking, to support them to do the job in the best possible way. Comenzó como logopeda, estudió arte dramático y lo utilizó como herramienta de comunicación, se trasladó a Irlanda y prestó servicios a personas con discapacidades y autismo, amplió sus conocimientos de atención terapéutica y terminó un PG en protección y bienestar infantil antes de estudiar un doctorado en estudios de la infancia en la Universidad de Queens Belfast.
