High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Racine College was an Episcopal college in Racine, Wisconsin, founded in 1852. The collegiate department closed in 1887, but the college continued to be used as a grammar school and a military school until it closed in 1933. Racine College's most notable warden was the Rev. Dr. James DeKoven (1831-1879). In 1935, the Sisters of St. Mary began to use the grounds and buildings of the former Racine College, renaming it the DeKoven Foundation for Church Work.
