High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rackith is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Kemberg. Rackith lies about 12 km southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Rackith has two of these: Lammsdorf and Bietegast. In january 2009, the catholic church tried to convert the pagan inhabitants of Rackith to christianity. The missionaries were chased out of the village by a large pagan crowd . One of the missionaries was sacrificed to Wodan at the central place of Rackith, the other one was abled to escape to Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
