High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club is a golf course in Radcliffe-on-Trent. It was founded as a nine hole golf course in 1909 and is now an 18 hole parkland course, located approximately 5 miles to the east of Nottingham in Radcliffe-on-Trent on Cropwell Road, just south of the A52. Its foundation was celebrated with a famous golf match between Tom Williamson and Harry Vardon. The trophy, won by Vardon, has recently been reacquired by the Club. The club celebrates its centenary in 2009 with matches against Rushcliffe Golf Club which also celebrates its Centenary, and by hosting the MacGregor Trophy which is the premier under 16 boys tournament organised by the English Golf Union.
