The service launched in December of 2008. The Dale Connelly Show airs weekday mornings from 6:00 - 9:00 a.m. Connelly is the service''s primary host and program director. Radio Heartland''s schedule also includes the programmes A Prairie Home Companion and American Routes from American Public Media, and the shows Thistle and Shamrock and Mountain Stage from NPR. These additional shows were added to Radio Heartland''s schedule in November 2009. Radio Heartland is heard in the Twin Cities on HD Radio, elsewhere in and near Minnesota on stations of the MPR network. The service is available via streaming worldwide on the Internet.
