Radiodiagnosis in Periodontology

Diagnosis of periodontal diseases requires the useful information regarding the present disease type, extent, distribution and severity and it must include a general evaluation of the patient and consideration of the oral cavity. Radiographic diagnosis is done as a adjunct to clinical examination which makes them an integral component of periodontal diagnosis in cases with clinical evidence of periodontal destruction. An attempt is made to review the literature on radiodiagnosis in periodontology.
