Following a series of events, she'd rather forget, Mel lands on an island divided into an immortal, magical community and a mortal one. Still stricken with the revelation of her own place in all this as well as a death she's trying to process, Mel soon finds that magic comes with dangers beyond the obvious and immortality doesn't equal invulnerability in a place where immortals live in fear of mortal clans seeking to hunt them down.
