Re-imagining the essence of integrated planning and service delivery

This manuscript outlines the prescribed and legislated methodology of embarking on integrated planning in order to realise absolute service delivery. The author in this book explores whether communities and levels of authorities are aware of the system of planning in Local Government. The book details the application of the planning principles across the country. In responding to the community needs, the system of local government is obliged to measure progress on the service delivery programmes within the given space. The author is mindful of the strides post 1994 democratic dispensation and challenges which are still posing bottlenecks. The government has recently in 2019 proclaimed and endorsed a new way of planning which promotes multi-sectoral approach in addressing and resolving challenges.
