Recent Advances in Diagnostic Aids

The speciality of diagnosis can be compared to a beautiful butterfly which has through its endurance and patience learnt the art to fly and continues to explore the novel and exotic advances in the field of dentistry. There are lots of techniques yet to be advanced upon and researchers are marching ahead in this millennium.Dentistry, particularly with respect to diagnostic decision-making, has seen remarkable advances in the last ten years. The art of diagnosis has become much more of a science. Technological advances from radiographic, microbiologic, enzymatic, immunologic, genetic have radically changed the ways an oral diagnosis is arrived at or confirmed. Oral conditions are being evaluated with greater precision and sophistication.
