Recent Perspectives in Chalcones of Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Chalcone, an exceptional chemical entity of two aromatic or heteroaryl rings joined by a three carbon , beta-unsaturated carbonyl system, representing a class of f lavanoids. Chalcone comprises a keto-ethylenic group and here upon reactive towards a number of reagents yielding a variety of heterocyclic compounds demonstrating remarkable biological activities. Because of the structural novelties and potent biological activity , the synthesis and modif ications of novel chalcones have attracted much focus of researchers of medicinal chemistry in recent years.
