Details
There are many challenges to the government in the post conflict stage such as reconstruction, rehabilitation, reconciliation, disappearances issues, abduction cases, gender related issues, political solutions, improving international relations, human rights issues and so on. experts and political actors have started that international agencies often used too narrow minded a concept in the past, reducing their activities to technical reconstruction after the end of violent conflict. a broader conceptualization is needed to support the difficult long-term process of transformation from war to peace. therefore any government which has undergone through a war period needs to pay special attention on RRR establishment and people empowerment. How government is serious in terms of rehabilitation and reintegration in post-conflict society is crucial factor. This book therefore, provides what government have done for RRR establishment, government and nongovernmental strategies to address issues of RRR implementation in war-toned societies and role of government to empower war victims and peace building.
