REDD+ Governance Structure in Low Forested Countries; Nigeria's case

Climate change as a global environmental problem continues to attract attention from different actors. However, different measures are being put in place to combat climate change. In this book, the REDD+ initiative to combat deforestation as one of the major ways to mitigating climate change is discussed. To further understand how the REDD+ initiative is being implemented, this book examines the institutional frameworks around the REDD+ governance structures. A case study of institutional frameworks in Nigeria as a low forested country participating In the REDD+ programme is also discussed.

Abidemi Olatunbosun holds a B.Sc in Marine Sciences, First Class Division from the University of Lagos, with an M.Sc in Environmental Systems Analysis from Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands.
