Redox reactions of Indigo Carmine with some oxy-anions

Dyes have found increasing use over the years both in the textile industries and as additives to drugs and cosmetics.Their behaviour under different chemical conditions is essential as this will not only give insight to the best conditions for their use but also into the factors that could affect their effectiveness.To this end this work was carried out to assist the colour chemist and specialist in textile science on the effect of varying reaction conditions on indigo carmine dye.
