REFLECTIONS ON RURAL LIFE IN THE 1990s

This book highlights rural life in Ethiopia back in the 1990s. It describes the social and economic aspects of life in one rural district, Alemaya (now Haramaya. The study was carried out through participant observations, when the author was working at the then Alemaya University of Agriculture. It was an anthropological study and it is hoped that the book might be of interest to anthropogists, rural sociologists, and puplation-cum-cultural geographers.
