Reformation of the Health Insurance System in Albania

The study showed in this book analysis the structure of the Institute of Health Care in Albania, based on the objectives and functions of the health system. It shows the existing options and challenges of reforming the health system. The purpose of the study is achieved by collecting data, reviewing existing literature and their analysis, referring to the Albanian health system functions. The study combines quantitative analysis through administrative and statistical data processing of the qualitative analysis which focuses on the identification of issues and specific aspects of the functioning of this system. As a conclusion the study talks about how the problems of health system in Albania will be solved if it proceeds on the concept of a single buyer for health financing in Albania.
