Regeneration and Revascularisation in Endodontics-Concepts and Reviews

The limitations of traditional tooth saving procedures like direct and indirect pulp therapy, surgical and non surgical root canal treaments etc lead to the quest for a new concept of revascularisation and regeneration in endodontics.Regenerative endodontic treatment is a treatment procedure designed to replace damaged pulp tissue with viable tissue which restores the normal function of the pulp-dentin structure. Since its infacncy this aspect of tissue engineering has overcome lots of hurdles and showing very promising results both in vivo and in vitro models.The emerging trends in this field will definitely change the overall concept of conventional endodontic treatment procedures in days to come.
